| I'm told this forum is more or less for Wii players. So, what do you think of the Wii?
I've had mine since release date. I haven't had any problems with mine. At the time, it was a great value.
Now, though, the 360 and PS3's prices are dropping to the point where the Wii (still $250) is almost a rip-off. I'm definitely buying a PS3 Slim for Christmas, if I can.

| One of the most recent software updates for the Wii allows users to use a wireless keyboard in the Mii Channel. I hope that means there's hope for a Wii Chatroom in the future. That would be awesome. | |

| it isnt bad, but it could do better, as of now all it really goes for are kids, smart, but kids lose taste fast. they're attempting to broaden there horizons and make more mature games, and that shud help it. BUT STILL WII IS FTW | |

| Well, actually he is right. It was mostly made for the whole family and casual gamers. We're lucky we have other games that aren't minigame fests and kiddie stuff. | |

| I don't see it as "luck." I see it as we have our games as normal, and they throw a bunch of junk in that I just ignore. Like always, except worse. | |

| I don't hate the wii, infact it's my fave, but you have to admit if you eliminate all the junk, that's taking a lot of games out of the wii's library | |

| So? As long as there are still plenty of awesome games, it doesn't matter. | |

| We can always use more. Everybody could use more. It's not a Wii specific thing. | |

| i would say that the other consoles have more good games than the wii, but that would be weird since i'm a wii fan, and i would probably get flamed if i did | |

| I would definitely flame you. I have this huge list of Wii games I want, in addition to the ones I already have, but I haven't seen much at all I'd want for the other consoles. | |

| The Wii HAS potential. LOADS of potential. By the time WiiHD is released, I'm hoping they'll have fixed some of its flaws.
Friend Codes are archaic in comparison to GamerTags and PSN IDs.
No patching is a huge issue.. Might have something to do with the lack of huge games.
The Infrared is cute, but it can be very unreliable. The new MotionSensing hardware is a step in the right direction, though.
The problem with Wii not having as many "hardcore gamer" games is that developers don't wanna risk developing something for the Wii specifically, knowing that it's a console bought for mainly, let's face it, young children. Young children generally don't wanna play through a complex game with emotion, deep battle systems, or high difficulty levels (of course, in 1989 when I first started playing Nintendo, hard-as-f*** was the only difficulty available on any game). I'm not sure who I'd have to appeal to to change things, but as of now, MOST of the hardcore games are first-party. The hardest game I've played on Wii has to be the Zelda game... and it was fairly easy...
Nah, most developers are only interested in exploiting the motion controls to make another mind-numbingly stupid party game that's as shallaw as an ice tray. Unfortunate, but true. I'm glad for Guitar Hero and first-party Nintendo games. Otherwise, my Wii would literally be a paper-weight.
